Charlie and Kathy are dedicated to using their gifts for God’s kingdom and for 40 years they have been integrating the church and the academy, the marketplace and public square.

Charlie Self serves as director of learning communities at Made to Flourish. (www.madetoflourish.org). This is a network of pastors and their churches seeking to integrate faith, work, and economic wisdom for the flourishing of their communities. He is the professor of church history at The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri, where he teaches courses in apologetics, church history, mission history, leadership development, and discipleship. Charlie is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He has served as an associate and senior pastor in several congregations in California, Oregon and Washington, D.C., and has served as an interim pastor five times.
